Holistic Facials
Acupressure facial therapy is a holistic skincare and wellness treatment that combines traditional Eastern healing principles with modern facial techniques to promote both outer beauty and inner balance. Rooted in the ancient practice of acupressure, this relaxing therapy involves the gentle stimulation of specific points on the face, scalp and shoulders that correspond to different organs and systems within the body.
During your session, I will apply light to moderate intentional pressure along these energy points, often referred to as meridians. These meridians are believed to be pathways through which the body’s vital energy - commonly known as “Qi” or life force - flows. When this energy becomes blocked or unbalanced, it can manifest as dull skin, tension, puffiness, or even premature aging. Acupressure facial therapy works to restore this balance, encouraging improved circulation, lymphatic drainage, clearer sinuses and overall skin vitality. It can help with headaches, poor sleep, lack of focus, eye issues, jaw pain and much more.
Beyond its aesthetic benefits, this therapy offers a deeply relaxing experience. The gentle, varied movements and techniques help to release tension held in the facial muscles - particularly around the jaw, forehead, and eyes - areas where stress often accumulates as we hold and express our emotions. As a result, clients frequently report not only brighter, more lifted skin but also a sense of calm and mental clarity. Facial cupping can also help stimulate our cells to increase the production of elastin and collagen which declines as we age.
What happens during a Facial?
Each treatment will be adapted to suits your needs and preferences. We will discuss what you would like included in your session beforehand as well as completing a brief health questionnaire. I will always begin with some grounding techniques, tuning in to your energy and helping you to relax.
Then a combination of your choosing which can include:
Neck and scalp massage
Nourishing face mask or scrub
Arm, and hand reflexology / massage
Cleanse / tone / hot towels
Your choice of serum & oil
Acupressure Facial Therapy / Massage
Facial cupping
Fascia release work
Please note:
If you would like all of these components in your facial you will need to book a minimum of 75 mins.
Facial Products
I use a lovely, wide range of all natural, organic products which you can choose from to suit your skin type and preference. I use a local, handmade range of oil, serum, face masks, toners and cleansers called Alami. I also use a range of delicious Tropic products. Both are natural, organic, and are available for purchase if desired.
